Animal reflection is the foreign division of Toscanzahoeve Belgium, founded by Inge Pauwels. It’s an holistic centre and meeting place, that offers behavioral training, therapy, courses and training courses for animals and humans in Belgium and at Brazil, Italy and other countries.
Animal Reflection ® revolves around a number of issues:
- A better understanding of the animal: his behaviour, body language and emotions
- Self discovery
- An interaction with respect for each other and always within your personal limits
- A peaceful and stable but confident action towards unwanted and problem behaviour
- The reflection of your attitudes seen on your animal.
Animal Reflection constantly strives to promote a better understanding between people and animals. Inge Pauwels firmly believes that this will help prevent behavioural problems, the ill treatment of animals and is the way forward to promoting a better understanding of the role of therapy animals. The key lies in educating people to understand how and why animals behave, the interaction between humans and animals and the bond that is formed between them when living and working together.
We can help you with:
- Animal (problem) behaviour, communication, training, testing and therapy.
- Coaching and training courses for people.
- Learn to know yourself by understanding your animal.
- communication, conflict management and teambuilding for companies
From 2003
Toscanzahoeve came into being 23rd February 2003, in remembrance of Tosca (a young Staffordshire terrier) cruelly killed by repeated knife wounds inflicted by a then neighbour of Inge’s family. For the first 5 years the centre was located on the family farm. The name Toscanzahoeve comes from the combination of Tosca and ‘hoeve’ the Flemish word for a farmhouse.
For over 10 years the value of the work done by Inge Pauwels and her team has been recognised both in Belgium, and internationally by numerous organisations and by the authorities.
Inge and her team combine a series of techniques and theories in order to ensure the optimal approach for the training, behaviour, coaching and personal development for each animal or person. There is no sense of ‘one size fits all’ but instead a holistic approach (looking at the whole picture) and taking into account the constant interaction between the natural world and the essence of each individual.
It is because of this that Animal reflection-Toscanzahoeve has developed into a unique meeting centre for humans and animals. Here workshops and evening sessions are available for people who seriously want to learn and raise their own level of awareness. Individual coaching is also on offer for those who want help with communication problems, decisiveness, sensitivity…
Animal welfare and professionalism
These are major cornerstones in the approach offered by Inge Pauwels. Animals have rights and a professional approach can only be helpful to them.
They are also very actively engaged with promoting the work done by Animal Rescue Associations. Projects are organised and run in schools, institutions, by local councils and in prisons. Individual help for families is also available. Evening sessions are run to provide help and information on all sorts of topics, for example, ‘advice for first time pet owners’ or ‘the relationship between children and animals’.
An holistic approach
Inge Pauwels does pioneering work in the fields of the Holistic approach, career courses, therapy work with animals. She continues to strive for a better recognition for dog owners, Assistance Animals and Behavioural Specialists for Animals.
